After a retail trends scouting mission by Sam Ali to Tokyo early last year, the concept for the world’s first Havaianas Vending Machine was born. The vending machine was launched at the 2010 Splendour in the Grass festival to thousands of admiring Havaianas fans.
A fun and unique way to interact with the brand, the idea that started out as a marketing campaign has now been picked up by a major shopping centre chain and is currently being prepared to be trialed in a mall near you.
